As a PhD student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specializing in sustainable manufacturing, I have a profound appreciation for the value of education and a deep desire to share my knowledge with others.
My journey in academia has equipped me with a robust understanding of complex scientific and mathematical principles, as well as a strong appreciation for the process of learning itself. Throughout my studies, I have been driven by a desire to not only understand the world around me but also to contribute to it by fostering a more sustainable future. This drive extends naturally into teaching, where I find immense satisfaction in helping students unlock their potential and develop a passion for learning.
I want to teach because I believe education is a powerful tool for personal and societal growth. My goal as a tutor is to inspire students to see beyond the challenges of the subjects and recognize the opportunities and applications that Math and Science offer. These disciplines are not just about numbers and formulas; they are about problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to innovate—skills that are crucial in today’s world.
As a tutor, I am committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My approach as a private teacher is centered around creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of each student. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in Math and Science with the right guidance and encouragement. Here’s how I approach tutoring:
Personalized Learning Plans: I begin by assessing each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Based on this assessment, I develop customized lesson plans that target specific areas for improvement while reinforcing their existing knowledge.
Interactive and Practical Learning: I use a variety of teaching methods to keep students engaged and make learning enjoyable. This includes interactive problem-solving sessions, real-life applications of concepts, and the use of digital tools and resources to enhance understanding.
Building Confidence: I focus on building students' confidence by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and providing positive reinforcement. Encouraging questions and fostering a growth mindset are key components of my teaching strategy.
