Om Filip
Hi there!
I am a biochemistry, medicinal, and organic chemistry tutor offering online tuition in the English language, with five years of tutoring experience working with IB Diploma Program students. I hold two HarvardX MOOC course certificates in molecular cytology and biochemistry, with 85th and 83rd percentile final grades respectively, in addition to a Tel Aviv University-based course on virology and immunology. Moreover, I am actively studying medicinal and organic chemistry at the undergraduate level, with a special emphasis on total synthesis of biologically active chemical compounds.
In addition to my academic background, I have conducted hands-on research on the hydrogenation of linoleic and oleic fatty acids, and the effect radioactive decay of radionuclides (uranium-238, strontium-90, and polonium-210) had on the ionization constant (Kw) of water. Likewise, I have published a theoretical research paper alongside two team members for a New York Academy of Sciences-based project revolving around the synthesis of hypothetical aspartate and glutamate oligopeptides for the purpose of inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 virus entry.

I currently solely offer tutoring within the fields of biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, and organic chemistry in English. Additionally, my scope of said subjects extends from high-school assistance with chemistry/biology, to undergraduate and graduate level biochemistry/organic chemistry. In addition, I can offer help with microbiology and molecular biology-related concepts.
