Om Jan
I'm Jan, a finance and mathematics student and experienced university teaching assistant. For two years I tutored at BI Norwegian Business School as a Learning Assistant, supporting hundreds of students each semester, so I know where students get stuck and what actually lifts results.
I just completed my BBA Bachelor at BI and concurrently pursue a BSc in Mathematics at a German Uni. Soon I will start my Master of Finance at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which is why I tutor exclusively online. Before university I also completed an apprenticeship as a banker at BNP Paribas in Germany, so I can connect theory to how finance and economics work in practice.

My lessons are built around understanding, not memorising. We start from the fundamentals, work through problems together, and I give clear, honest feedback so you can solve things on your own. Each session is tailored to your level and goals, whether that's passing an exam, lifting a grade, or making a difficult topic finally click.

Lessons typically run 60 minutes, with longer sessions on request. They suit high-school students through first-year university level, covering economics, statistics, econometrics, and mathematics. All tutoring is online and in English.
