Om Nick
I really get a kick out of the moment a student gains a deeper understanding of something they are struggling with. My mission is to help each student unlock their potential on the drums.
Now a little about me:
I grew up in Australia and studied jazz drums after graduating from school. After playing with artists in Australia I began touring in the band of the vocal group, The Ten Tenors. After settling in Norway in 2010, I became drummer and musical director for Norwegian reggae star, Admiral P. In 2025 I also joined the live band for pop/afrobeat artist Nico and Vince.

In lessons with me, each students playing level and musical wishes are taken into account. My goal is to give students the keys to unlock the music they already like. By showing the connection between practice-pad training and the drum set, students gain proficiency in the genres they would like to play on the drums.
Lessons encompass a focus on teaching drumming and musical techniques that are applicable in real world situations.
These include:
- Using the basic rudiments
- Stylistic knowledge
- Hand positions and techniques
- Hand and foot combos
- Grooves and patterns
- 4 limb Coordination
Teaching is available for 45mins - 1 hour
I have a Bachelor of Jazz drums (performance) from QLD Conservatorium of music, Australia. For the past 25 years I have been a professional drummer in many different musical styles and settings. In addition, I have been teaching drum students for the last 20 years.
