Om Claire
I’m Claire, an EMCC-accredited mentor and higher education professional with 12+ years of experience working in UK universities and global student recruitment. I’ve helped hundreds of students through the big step of applying to university and adjusting to student life.
My mentoring style is supportive and practical. I use structured tools to help students set goals, clarify their choices, and take confident steps forward. Along the way, I share the kind of insights I wish someone had given me before I went to university myself.
What I enjoy most is seeing students gain clarity and confidence — whether they’re choosing a course, applying through UCAS, or looking to get the most out of their time at university.

My course is designed to give students the tools, confidence, and clarity they need to make the most of their university journey — from choosing the right course to thriving as a student abroad.
Depending on your needs, we can focus on one or more of the following areas:
1. University Applications & Choices
• Understanding UCAS and UK university requirements
• Identifying the right course and institution based on your goals
• Personal statement and application mentoring
2. Preparing for University Life
• Goal-setting inside and outside the classroom
• Time management and study techniques
• Budgeting, loans, and adapting to independent living abroad
3. Mentoring for Current Students
• Clarifying your academic and personal goals
• Making the most of study abroad opportunities and extracurriculars
• Building confidence, resilience, and transferable skills for your career
Format:
• Sessions are 1 hour each
• You can book a one-off session for specific guidance, or a package of 3–4 sessions to work through a goal or theme in more depth.
Language:
Sessions are delivered in English only. This not only prepares students for the application process but also builds confidence for studying and living in the UK.
With each session, you’ll leave with actionable steps and the reassurance of having a mentor who understands both the challenges and opportunities of studying in the UK.
