Om Alija
I’m a Russian language teacher with over 4 years of experience, currently based in Norway. My academic background in linguistics and literature, along with my teaching at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, allows me to combine structure, clarity, and cultural insight in every lesson.
I tailor my approach to each student’s goals, whether they’re starting from scratch or refining advanced skills. My classes focus on real communication, grammar that actually makes sense, and the kind of Russian you’ll hear outside the textbook. I bring curiosity, creativity, and a good sense of humor into the classroom — because language learning should be inspiring, not intimidating.
Let’s make Russian make sense — and have a bit of fun along the way.

As a private tutor, I believe that learning a language should be fun, practical, and full of life. I focus on creating a friendly and supportive environment where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and improve step by step. I work with all language levels — from absolute beginners to more advanced speakers — and always adapt my lessons to each student’s needs, interests, and goals.
My teaching style is interactive and creative. I teach Russian through real-life language, not just grammar books. In our lessons, we will read stories, have conversations, listen to music, and watch videos in Russian — so you can fully immerse yourself in the language and culture. Of course, we’ll also cover grammar and vocabulary, but in a way that’s natural and connected to real communication.
