Om Pouria
Currently, I am curating and judging at the Bergen Unstable Film Festival, which is scheduled for this September. I hold a Master's degree in Fine Art from the University of Bergen (UIB) and a Bachelor's degree in Film from Manchester School of Art. Over the course of my career, I have crafted both feature-length and short films, with screenings spanning worldwide. Notably, my work has been short listed for consideration at the Academy Awards (Oscars) in 2023.

This course is designed for individuals eager to explore the magic of filmmaking, whether they are creating content for media or producing artistic films for festivals. We'll begin by exploring experimental cinema, highlighting creative methods for storytelling on a limited budget. With over 15 years of experience in filmmaking, I've delved into both artistic and cost-effective approaches. As a result, the course will be tailored to meet your specific needs and directions.
For example, we can delve into analogue filmmaking, covering topics such as how to develop and project 16mm or 8mm films. We'll explore the market for these films, as well as the aesthetics and philosophy behind them.
On the other hand, we'll explore the digital realm of cinema, addressing how to create compelling videos and stand out in an increasingly saturated market. These are topics I'll delve into based on the interests and needs of my students. Each session can last up to 1 hour and 30 minutes, conducted in English.
