Om Charlotte
I have been tutoring online since the beginning of 2021 to people of different ages, nationalities, levels and different goals. Prior to that, I used to tutor in French and in English during my studies, to undergraduate and postgraduate students who needed extra help with their studies but most of all, who needed to practice for the prospect of working and living in France.

My name is Charlotte, I would be happy to become your French tutor and help you achieve your personal or professional goals!
My background:
I am a 30-year-old, French native. I grew up near Paris, but I have lived in different places in France. Although I have travelled a lot, I have spent most of life in a French speaking environment, throughout my studies and corporate work experience. I have an MBA in Business Tourism and Event Management and 7 years of experience in Sales, Marketing & Communication in the Tourism sector.
I am a professional, patient, supportive and personable tutor. I know the challenges of learning and mastering a new language. Indeed, aside from French, I speak English, Italian and Spanish. I am also currently learning Norwegian and German.
My methodology:
A typical session with me is fully conversational and interactive. Right from the beginning, I will help you with accent reduction through a simplified phonetics system that we will work out together and use every time we discover a new word. After the end of each session, I add the vocabulary we learned in a Google Doc shared with you.
As we go, you will learn to express yourself both orally and in writing, all the while improving your understanding of spoken and written French.
If you want to learn French for professional reasons, I will provide you with broad business vocabulary as well as vocabulary specific to your line of work. Throughout our sessions, I will give you insights on the French work culture, the dos and don’ts of a French work environment. Together, we will also see how to write a CV and a cover letter specific to the French market and prepare for an interview.
If you want to learn French for personal reasons, I will teach you general vocabulary, as well as vocabulary specific to your interests. Throughout our sessions, I will provide you with fun facts, idioms, sayings and cultural references for you to speak French like a native!
Disclaimer: I am a tutor, not a teacher. Therefore, I do not teach grammar during our sessions. However, I have a pool of study materials and exercises that I can send you for you to study after our session when we stumble upon a grammar point that you do not understand.
