Om Ellen Marie
With my twelve years of teaching experience in higher education, in a variety of settings and subjects, I have learned to meet each student "where they are at" in their learning process. Former students report that I have empowered them to succeed.
I am a native speaker (North American), dual US and Norwegian citizen with a Sámi background from Finnmark. I have taught English and Indigenous studies, both at the upper-secondary level and at bachelor, master, and PhD levels. In addition to teaching, I am also an author, translator, and editor. I have helped countless students with their writing projects, both writers of English as a foreign language and native speakers.
While I can teach all skills in English language learning, I have a particular interest in supporting students in their writing process - everything from thesis statements, structure, from, argumentation and style. I can help you find your writing voice.
