Om Bahaa
I’m a Master’s student in Peace and Conflict Studies, originally from Gaza, Palestine, and I’ve been living in Tromsø for five years. Arabic is my mother tongue, and my love for the language extends beyond everyday conversation; it has always been one of my favorite subjects, particularly its literature and challenging grammar.
At 15, I discovered my passion for writing and began crafting short stories, which deepened my appreciation for Arabic. I learned that expressing myself effectively in writing requires a strong command of both spoken and classical Arabic, which is essential for literature and official documentation. My journey through literature taught me that language learning is about more than just vocabulary and grammar; it’s about engaging with the beauty of the language itself.
For the past ten years, I’ve worked with children and young adults in Gaza, focusing on educational and creative activities that make learning enjoyable. Through storytelling, games, theater, art, and various interactive methods, I’ve gained valuable experience in teaching and guiding the learning process.
With this background, I believe I can transform your language learning experience. Learning Arabic can be challenging, but it should also be a passionate and gradual journey. With patience, enthusiasm, and a fun learning environment, we can achieve great things together!
