Om Paul
Hi, I’m Paul, a native French speaker currently living in Trondheim and pursuing my engineering double degree in Sustainable Energy at NTNU.
I am offering French lessons for all levels, taught in English. Whether you are looking to master conversational French, improve your grammar for academics or travel, or simply discover the language from scratch, I can tailor our sessions to your specific goals.
Beyond sharing my native language, I have a strong background in teaching. I previously worked as an online tutor and served as an oral examiner for rigorous engineering preparatory classes (CPGE) in France. I know how to structure lessons, adapt to different learning speeds, and keep the process engaging.

My Teaching Approach & Methodology
Learning a new language should be engaging and tailored to your goals. My method is highly adaptable: whether you want structured grammar lessons, pronunciation exercises, or purely conversational practice, we will build a plan that works for you. Drawing from my experience in rigorous academic environments, I focus on breaking down concepts clearly and remaining patient. I believe in active practice, so you will be speaking and interacting as much as possible to build your confidence.
Typical Lesson Duration
My standard lessons usually last 45 minutes to 1 hour. This is the ideal timeframe to maintain high focus and effectively retain new vocabulary and rules without feeling overwhelmed. However, I am flexible and can adjust the length based on your schedule and needs.
My Qualifications
I am a native French speaker currently living in Norway to complete an engineering double degree. Beyond my native fluency, I have solid pedagogical experience: I have worked as an online tutor and served as an academic oral examiner for intensive engineering preparatory classes (CPGE) in France. This background taught me how to adapt my explanations to different learning styles. Because I study and live in a fully international environment, I am very comfortable teaching and explaining the nuances of French entirely in English.
