Om Ignacio
I was born in Madrid, Spain. Growing up in the Hortaleza neighbourhood, I was immensely lucky to be able to study french intensively as a second language in my high school. With an adecuate level on booth english and french, I enroled to study materials engineering at the technical university of Madrid.
After my bachelor, I got a grant to study abroad, allowing me to study in France and Italy a master that was tought in english. Afterwards I did my PhD in Uppsala, Sweden. During those years I was able to teach chemistry in the labs, and improv theatre (a hobby that I have been practicing for ten years, in three different languages) to satisfy my desire for teaching. Now I am up for some new adventures here in Trondheim, teaching you how to speak my beautiful mother tongue.

Spanish is one of the most important languages worldwide. Hence, many people learn it at some point of their lives.
Like in all languages, practice makes perfection, and so, to speak good spanish, you should not only learn the fundamentals; but also speak with others, make sure you know the right word for the right conversation and, overall, gain confidence on your skills.
Together we will learn how a spanish person would articulate a thought, how you would ask for a bit more of vanilla in your ice-cream, or how you would pronounce a speech in the wedding of your spanish best-friend.
My name is Ignacio, I was born and raised in Madrid. I am a researcher in material science, but I have always enjoyed teaching. While my teaching experience has focused mostly on science and improvisation theatre, I have extensive experience on learning languages (I'm fluent in spanish, english and french, plus I studied Italian and swedish). I know Duolingo is fun as a game, but that learning needs of a more personal approach. With one hour sessions in which we will study a certain grammatical construction together with a vocabulary selection, I promise you you will quickly feel progress.
