Om Nicholas
Hi, I’m Nick, a British sport scientist now living in Oslo.
I completed my PhD researching vascular health, sedentary behaviour and Long COVID, which involved designing studies, collecting data and running all the statistical analysis myself. I’ve published my research in academic journals and presented it at conferences.
Alongside my research, I have worked as an Associate Lecturer at a UK university, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and leading modules. Supervising students through their own projects has taught me where people usually get stuck with statistics, and how to explain things in a way that actually makes sense.
Outside of academia I have a Bachelor’s in strength and conditioning and i also work as a personal trainer, so if you’re studying sport or exercise science, I know the subject area well too.
I’m looking forward to helping you feel confident with your statistics!

Statistics doesn’t have to be confusing. I’ll help you actually understand what you’re doing and why, rather than just getting through it.
I’m a sport scientist with a PhD and experience as a university lecturer, teaching and supervising at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I’ve used statistics throughout my own research, so I know what it’s like to apply it to real data, not just textbook examples.
