I love to teach real life english - the kind that ordinary people speak day-to-day, the idioms, vocabulary and phrases that perhaps you were not taught in school, but will need when you're "out there" in the real world. I also love to explain the nuances of language and context, and to play with them.
I believe that both verbal and written communication skills open many doors in life, which is why I put a strong emphasis on proper grammar and pronunciation. I believe that our ability to express ourselves very often is a deciding factor in how other people receive us - what impression we make in the world.
I teach both British and American english, but have a soft spot for Americans as I lived among them for nearly 10 years. Their enthusiasm, honesty and straightforwardness definitely rubbed off on me : )
