Om Valeria
I am a 25 years old master student that finished her bachelor degree in political sciences and Spanish in 2022. I am currently writing a bachelor thesis in Spanish focused on Mexican culture, as well as writing my master thesis in European studies focusing on Spanish politics. I have high interest in languages and therefore I like to teach Spanish, which is my mother tongue. I come from a family of professors and my whole life I had Spanish as a subject, I have the advantage of being familiarised with ways and methods of teaching Spanish in two different countries. In Mexico I acquired knowledge of Spanish as mother tongue and in Norway I got to learn it as a second language

I attempt to make learning fun but at the same time understandable and clear. I like to work at my student’s pase and make sure to clarify all the questions that can be, even if I don’t know the answer myself (I like to learn together with them). I am constantly learning new things too, and I’m very engaged with the results. If there is not a theme in particular the students need help with, I like to have a brief test in order to have an overview of how high is their Spanish level. I try to find fun activities that does not merely consist of reading and memorise, but also watch short videos to practice the hearing and then talk about the themes of the video in order to practice the language orally
